Zaep AntiSpam Version 3.1.0.2
Zaep 3.1.0.2 was released December 7, 2004. A complete list of changes and upgrades follows:
BUG FIXES:
- Corrected a bug where Zaep would incorrectly redirect certain URLs such as "http://127.0.0.1:8082/account". When redirecting to "http://127.0.0.1:8082/account/" it would omit the port, incorrectly redirecting to "http://127.0.0.1/account/"
- Changed Zaep Standard license check to identify all local IP addresses and count that as ONLY one user.
Zaep AntiSpam Version 3.1.0.0
Zaep 3.1.0.0 was released September 7, 2004. A complete list of changes and upgrades follows:
FEATURES:
- Added the "Message Field List" to the account configurations. This list allows nearly any field to be checked against the white list. When a match is found on the white list or wildcard white list, a message is not challenged and it is approved.
- Changed About box to show the expiration date of a temporary registration ID.
- Internal change to save the global statistics in the Zaep.Accounts file. This makes it easier to move Zaep from one computer to another and maintain the same statistics.
BUG FIXES:
- Corrected a bug where the POP3 proxy was not returning the correct return value for LAST.
- Corrected a problem where the trial warning dialog would pop-up immediately after closing it.
- Corrected a bug where Zaep would continue listing deleted messages (POP3 server bug). For almost all email clients, this bug had no effect at all on the functioning of Zaep, it was only an internal bug.
- Corrected a potential GPF error when incorrectly interpreting the number of characters sent by an email client.
- Corrected certain missing debugging information in case of GPF. This is an internal correction.
- Corrected a potential GPF error when rejecting email from an unknown Zaep account.
- Corrected a potential problem where Zaep might not correctly send a line of a challenge if the first character was a ".".
- Corrected a bug where Zaep would increment statistics for deleted messages even when the "QUIT" command failed. The statistics are tallied now after the server completes the connection. This bug could also cause Zaep to consume large amounts of bandwidth since it would query the server for message headers again.
Zaep AntiSpam Version 3.0.0.1
Zaep 3.0.0.1 was released July 12, 2004. A complete list of changes and upgrades follows:
FEATURES:
- Don't automatically add the account email address to the white list when sending to it.
- Corrected an internal web server problem where it would not search for index files in sub directories.
- Improved Zaep's reply to challenge where "undeliverable" message messages don't cause approval when coming from properly configured email servers returning an empty return path identifying the postmaster account on that server.
- Changed the default account setting so that "self" messages are NOT automatically approved. If one's own email address appears in the white list, however, it is approved.
BUG FIXES:
- Corrected a bug where the return path identified in an email header, might not be considered empty, even though it was.
Zaep AntiSpam Version 3.0.0.0
Zaep 3.0.0.0 was released June 8, 2004. A complete list of changes and upgrades follows:
FEATURES:
- Added the ability to allow senders to reply to email messages, removing the requirement for a full time 24x7 Internet connection.
- Added support for up to 2 separate computers when using Zaep Standard and restrict the number of user accounts to 6.
- Added support for remote account configuration using Zaep Standard.
- Added global white, wildcard white, black, wildcard black, and subject lists. These additional lists apply to all accounts configured within Zaep. Account settings take precedence over these.
- Added the ability to move items from the white, wildcard white, black, and wildcard black lists to the corresponding global list.
- Added the greater than, less than, and double quote symbols as delimiters for importing email addresses.
- Added server mapping so that on some networks LAN IP addresses can be used to map a domain to specific IP addresses. This is helpful when firewalls or routers won't allow a connection back in.
- Made some socket level improvements to make Zaep more efficient.
- Added "Tool Buttons" in the Standard and Custom challenges to help with Zaep tags.
- Changed the installer to prompt if overwriting or updating the standard challenge files.
BUG FIXES:
- Corrected a problem when double clicking on the system tray icon to start configuration using Internet Explorer and Windows 2003 Server. Making Zaep changes made Internet Explorer appear to hang.
- Corrected the installer's signature to correctly read "RhinoSoft.com Zaep" instead of "RhinoSoft.com FTP Voyager".
- Convert =?iso-8859-1?Q? strings to something more readable.
- Corrected a bug where the allowed IP addresses wasn't being checked against the peer IP address.
